Zephyr stopped in his tracks as Link yelled out. He stood there and listened to every word Link had to say about him. They were very hurtful...but true. A sharp pain jolted through his heart as Link scolded him. It was true, every word of it. It wasn't the villager's fault that they never talked to him, it was Zephyr's. Every time someone would try to get near him or speak to him, Zephyr would be too afraid and basically never gave anyone a chance.
Zephyr stood there and took his verbal beating. Once it was over, Link apologized. Zephyr was scared, the vibe Link was giving off felt as if Zephyr had awakened some sort of beast that laid dormant within Link. Before the Boy could say anything, a voice appeared in his head and soon after, I flash back followed. Zephyr was laying on the Faron Bridge. He was yelling for help. His mother's dead body rested on top of the body, shielding him from the moblins. He yelled for help for hours and no one would come to his aid. The bloody corpse grew heavy and there was nothing Zephyr could do.
Zephyr held his head and closed his eyes. He fell to his knees as the flash back began to cause him pain. "...Make it stop.... Make it stop! Make it stop! Make it stop! Make it stop! Please, make it stop..."[/b] Zephyr said to himself. Those memories caused his pain. The shear power of the negative emotions Zephyr felt from those memories would cause him tremendous pain. One that day, Zephyr forgot most of his childhood. He forgot about his parents and when the memories of his parents would appear, the pain would soon follow.
The elements around him began to change. The wind began to gust. The plants would slowly die. He was losing control over his powers. His emotions were going out of control and he couldn't stop them. The pain....the pain and the memories were clouding his mind. The racing thought grew more and more as time slowly passed on. What was he going to do?

HEAR HIM ROAR, SEE HIM FOAM, BUT WE'RE NOT COMING HOME TIL HE'S DEAD, GOOD AND DEAD KILL THE BEAST Link stood there with his head bowed as he mentally scolds himself for what he had said. He really did regret saying those things he could tell that he had hurt Zephyr's feelings. He never liked hurting people's feelings. He was always mindful of what he said usually, but when he was angry it's almost as if a part of him just woke up. It was that beastly side that he found out during his travels, and even though it was exhilarating he hated it nevertheless.
Clenching his fists in attempt to calm himself down, he snaps his head up as he hears Zephyr start to yell about something. All of sudden the green haired teen starts to yell about wanting something to stop, and Link wasn't sure what to do. His head whipped around as the wind blew like gusts at him, and he almost fell down but he was able to catch his balance in time. The plants at his feet start to wilt and he felt this shimmer of power coming off of Zephyr. There was a hint of negative energy coming off the pure power, and it made his insides crawl.
Stepping forward he had to shield his face as things whipped into his face. Squinting to see Zephyr kneeling down and holding his head, Link felt this sudden wave of helplessness. What could he do? Wha-he stopped in mid thought of what he could do and just started first trying to get close to Zephyr. Slowly step by step his found himself before Zephyr and just knelt to hold him close. He didn't know what to do, so he just held him. Held him in his tight grip and didn't plan on letting him go. He felt pain envelope him, but he didn't let go. If he left Zephyr go he felt like the boy would just fly away.
"It's okay. It'll be okay." Link says in attempt to calm Zephyr down. He wasn't sure why the boy was losing control, but obviously it wasn't something the kid wanted.

The Wind stopped blowing and plants around the area slowly changed back. What had happened? Zephyr's eyes widened as the feel of someone wrapping their arms around him appeared. The words that appeared from behind him stopped his racing thoughts and cleared his mind. The storm that once darkened his mind vanished without a trace. His mind was calm like the ocean. What had happened?
The feeling of tears rolled down his face and onto Link's hands. "...I'm sorry..."[/b] Zephyr said. "....I been so damn stupid to realize that I was the reason no one got to know me...My damn fears got the best of me..."[/b] He felt hopeless right now. The boy sent most of his life filled with fear of going through that moment on the bridge again. He promised himself that he wouldn't let that happen again and wound being consumed by it.
But for some reason, Zephyr didn't felt as if he was alone anymore. He felt as if he had someone that cared about him. Someone who understood him. This feeling was something he longed for. He missed this feeling and soon, he was overcome by it. Zephyr felt weak and his vision started to get blurry. His powers drained him of most of his energy. Soon, the weakness grew and in mere seconds, Zephyr fell to the grow. He wasn't dead just exhausted from the physical and emotional events that just took place. He was weak but maybe, in time, this might change.

HEAR HIM ROAR, SEE HIM FOAM, BUT WE'RE NOT COMING HOME TIL HE'S DEAD, GOOD AND DEAD KILL THE BEAST Keeping a firm grasp on the teen, it's only a few seconds later before the wind starts to die out. Yet he didn't stop his firm hold on the teen at all, but started to breath again. He didn't realize that he wasn't breathing until the wind had faded into nothing. The air was still for a second and he was sure he could feel Zephyr tremble in his arms. Then he felt something warm and wet fall on him. It was only after a few seconds that he realized that Zephyr was crying, and that made him hold the teen even closer. He had never been this close with someone cause he wasn't the most fondest on hugs, but he had always seen how Ilia would just give Collen this big ole' hug and he would start to crying. So he was hoping this would work with Zephyr.
Link only smiles when he hears Zephyr attempting to apologize. If anything the teen could start to correct his mistakes now. It's not like the villagers won't greet him with wide open arms. Though it might take some time, but that doesn't mean it isn't totally unfixable. Giving Zephyr another tight squeeze to show that it was okay, and that things will come out just right, that Link decides that he can let him go. Pulling back to look at Zephyr with that big smile of his, a look of reassurance that Link took his apology. Then Link's face started to contort into a worried look as the green haired teen started not to look so well, and then he just fell before the herder's sight.
Quickly checking to make sure that he's breathing and has a pulse, Link leans back with a sigh of relief to see that there isn't any problem with him. He might have just fainted due to the over exhaustion of his energy. Thinking it wouldn't be good to leave Zephyr on the floor, he decides to pick him up and take him to the herder's house. After all the kid doesn't need to catch a cold at this kind of time. With Zephyr secure in his arms, he starts to walk casually back to his house before he comes to a dead stop at the ladders before him. He couldn't exactly climb the ladder with a teen in his hands, so he decides to carry the teen like a sack of potatoes. Mind you he did in a gentle manner, and made sure that Zephyr was comfortable thought out the whole thing.
Getting to the top, he opens the door and walks towards his bed. Laying Zephyr down on it and tucking the guy in. Making sure he keeps warm, and decides to get a fire blazing and perhaps cook something up. Zephyr might just wake up at the time, and so he goes about doing that. His house isn't the most fancy of houses, and actually might lack compared to the other villagers. He had mostly pictures of the goats, Epona, and the village children, but he had no photos of himself or his family. A few of his shelves were packed with herding supplies, and several bottles full of preserved foods. Most of it diminished due to the winter days. Next to his bed he had a few drawings of the many creatures that he had met. Pictures of people, plants, and places he had been. Even a picture of his beast form.
Stirring the pot that was filled with cheese, pumpkin, and a special fish Link smell that pot and smiles at remember just who he had learned this recipe from. If this soup could make a Yeti feel better, than surely this could make Zephyr feel better. Not to mention that it's extremely healthy and delicious. It was something that kept him going as he explored that frozen mansion.

Zephyr was sound asleep. His body was limp which made it easy for Link to carry him. While he was asleep, Zephyr was dreaming. He was walking around the Faron Woods. Everything was beautiful. The plants and animals were so lively, the wind was cool and smelt of wildflowers, and Zephyr was enjoying it. Everything was perfect in the eyes of this Sage.
A dark cloud slowly covered the sky and the wind began to turn cold. The plants began to wilt as the animals all ran away. What was going on? An evil laugh filled his ears and made a chill run down his spine. Zephyr turned around and saw a man that was covered with darkness. Who was he? Something inside of him told him to run, that it wasn't safe here.
Zephyr took off into the woods. The man quickly followed him. His laughter haunted him as Zephyr tried to get away. Soon, he found himself in front of a massive tree with a building or temple built inside of it. A strange light stood at the front door and a voice called out to him. It was faint but he could make some of it out. Awaken the power sleeping in your soul? Zephyr didn't understand what it was saying. Before the Boy could ask a question, the darkness caught him. His body slowly began to sink. Inch by inch, Zephyr slowly disappeared into the darkness. As he was complete submerged, Zephyr yelled out.
His eyed darted up and he jolted upward in bed. He was covered in a cold sweat and his breathing was heavy. Zephyr covered his face with his hands as he tried to caught his breath. What a vivid dream...It felt so real. Something inside of him told Zephyr that it was a vision. It had to be real. The last time he had a dream like that was when the Sage visited him. Zephyr blinked a bit as he turned his head and looked around. He wasn't in the woods anymore. The Boy was resting in someone's bed but who brought him here?
Slowly, he stood up and walked into the living room. Link was cooking something and it smelt great. Did he really do all of this for him? Zephyr was so confused. Why would Link care so much about him? He knew that it didn't have to do with his new powers because of the conversation in the Spring. But, why? Why be so nice to him?
Zephyr slowly walked toward Link as he scratched the back of his head. "Um....Thanks for helping me out Link..."[/b] The Boy said as he looked a bit to the side. "I mean, I didn't mean to be so rude toward you and the village..."[/b] Zephyr wasn't good at apologizing since he normally didn't speak much to anyone. The smell of the stew began to fill the room as Zephyr's stomach began to growl loudly. The boy's face quickly lit up at the sound of the embarrassing growl.

HEAR HIM ROAR, SEE HIM FOAM, BUT WE'RE NOT COMING HOME TIL HE'S DEAD, GOOD AND DEAD KILL THE BEAST Link gives the pot another stir before he gets up from the fire place. Stretching his muscles and giving a good yawn before shaking his head. It is rather late, but Zephyr was still asleep and he didn't plan on doing off till he knew that the teen was okay. Besides he had a good nap before when the Goats were grazing in the field. Now you'd think that he should pay attention, but the goats are well behaved animals as much as Fado insists that they aren't. The goats just don't like Fado for some odd reason, they complain that the rancher smells bad Link thinks there's something else to the matter. Rubbing the tip of his ear, he walks towards the bed to smile at the sleeping form of Zephyr. He didn't seem to be sleeping well, but he didn't want to wake the poor teen.
Grabbing a notebook and a pencil, Link walks back towards the open area of the house. His sandals making a small tap tap sound at the silent area, he was use to the silence so he felt rather comfortable. Walking to a bare wall he sits down and puts his back to it. Pulling his knees up to set the notebook down as he starts to think of what to write. He had gotten use to the habit of writing journals so he wouldn't forget all he had seen. Thinking about what had happened today he began to write about the simple preparations for the Festival of Forore, before his mind began to wander to Zephyr's concerto. How all the plants and the animals had such an effect from the boy's playing.
Letting his wandering mind to write in the journal, occasionally drawing a picture or two in the margins of what he wanted to illustrate. It wasn't long before he started to think of how uncontrolled Zephyr's powers are if such an episode were to happen again surely someone might get hurt. Link was lucky because he was fairly good at dealing with sudden problems, but what if the villager's crops all of sudden wilted if Zephyr got angry or something? There were definitely some dangers that could be caused by the green hair teen, intentional or not. Even if Link would have these worrying thoughts, he couldn't help but believe in Zephyr and his ability to control his sage powers. If only the sages were still here or left something to help Zephyr.
Link was pulled from his thinking when he heard Zephyr getting out of the bed. Getting up and placing the notebook and pencil down Link came to see if Zephyr was okay. Seeing the boy standing there Link took quick notice of the few traces of sweat on the boy's forehead. He must have had cold sweat from his dream, yet Link didn't hide the faint look of concern on his face. Though seeing that he seemed rather okay despite that, the herder turns away to get something for Zephyr to eat if he hasn't. Grabbing a bowl and kneeling down to pour some of the soup into it he listens to Zephyr closely and gets up with a smile on his face as he goes about to put a spoon in the bowl.
Zephyr really didn't have to apologize, he already didn't. So it's okay, right? Maybe Link is rather naive in some cases, but he had always thought that holding grudges were ridiculous. Rather he never believed in holding grudges to the point that he never held one against Zant or Ganon. As hard as it is to believe, he just knew that they were fighting for something they believed in so there was no reason to think bad of it. Even if it conflicted in what Link thought to be right. Zant just wanted his people to be something more than, and Ganon...well he never really figured it out.
Holding the bowl in his hands Link only smiles at Zephyr in reply to the teen's attempt to apologize. A smile that said that there were no hard feelings at all. Then there was a large growl. At first Link thought that there might be a monster outside his house but the expression on Zephyr's face said otherwise. So the herder just laughs kindheartedly, and offers the bowl to him. "Here." There never was any reason why Link was helping Zephyr out, well there is but either way it's just how Link is. Hospitality had always been something Link had been big about, Xenia was it right? "There's no reason for you to thank me." Link says truthfully and then he turns to look out the window. It was pitch black outside, and thinking of having Zephyr leaving at this time to go somewhere in the forest made Link feel rather uneasy.
"....Maybe you should stay for the night..." Link says quietly. His arms crossed over his chest and his ears droop at the worrying feeling he got. Even if he could put the greatest poker face and fool people with it, his ears are what usually always gave him up. It's like they had a mind of their own, and when they were sad they would droop and if he was happy they would twitch a little and perk up. It kind of sucks being Hylian sometimes.

Zephyr took the bowl and looked down at the stew. It looked as good as it smelt. His stomach was growling as he just stared at the stew. The Sage lifted the bowl to his lips as began to drink some of the broth. The taste exploded in his mouth. The stew was amazing. The mixtures of the many different vegetables, herbs, and fish was a perfect combination. Link was more than just a great fighter, he was an awesome chief as well.
Zephyr smiled as he lowered the bowl from his lips. The Sage felt as if he mattered in this world now. He had never been treated to dinner before let only been in someone's house. However, he raised a brow as Link told him that he should stay the night here. Zephyr began to blush a bit at the statement but he couldn't just bother Link like this. I mean, sure, he was wanting to protect Zephyr but there was no danger in these woods ever since the Twilight Invasion was over.
" Thanks Link but I must be going. I need to head back home."[/b] He said as he began to walk toward the door. With a smile, he glanced back at the Hero of Hyrule. "Thanks for your help Link."[/b] Zephyr said as he opened the door and slid down the ladder. It was late, the sun was gone and the only light was the moon, the stars, and the many torches that lit up the streets in the town. It was quiet but it was something Zephyr was use to. The Young Sage began to walk into the forest, slowly heading toward his home.

HEAR HIM ROAR, SEE HIM FOAM, BUT WE'RE NOT COMING HOME TIL HE'S DEAD, GOOD AND DEAD KILL THE BEAST No, that was a lie. The is danger in the woods, no matter if they have seen it or not, but he just knew something bad was waiting in the woods. You could call it a gut feeling, but it was more of an instinct to Link rather. Over the time of his travels around Hyrule he had developed a sort of instinct for knowing when danger was lurking around the corner, he had to or he wouldn't be even alive now. So now, Link was listening to his instinct and it told him to not let Zephyr go out there. He wasn't sure what is out there, but it isn't good. He knows that much.
Opening his mouth to try and make Zephyr reconsider his options, his mouths shuts down as he hears the green haired teen say thank you to Link. That smile and the look from his eyes made Link believe it, and it made him smile back as well. Maybe Zephyr wasn't such a bad kid after all?
Standing there and looking at the door Link's mind starts to mill around the different scenarios over what could happen to Zephyr. No, he's not a mother hen as Talo or Malo has said about him several times, he just gets really worried easily. After all Zephyr has taken care of himself for most of his life, who is to say that he can't take care of himself now? Not like a Moblins are going to appear all of a sudden or a darknut is gonna try to rip him to shred. Nor will a Lizalfos suddenly appear in the forest. There is no....
Link quickly rushes to his sword and shield, strapping them on as well as getting a bow and arrows, just in case. It wouldn't hurt to at least walk Zephyr back to his home. HE IS NOT A MOTHER HEN! Getting prepped up, he opens the door and slides down the ladder. Starting off at a light jog to that he could catch up to Zephyr. Jogging out of Ordon he finally catches sight of bright green hair in the distance and starts to run towards it before slowing down as he gets into a normal walk next to Zephyr. An embarrassed smile on his face as he looks at Zephyr and rubs the back of his head. Feeling that there wasn't any reason to explain himself he just continues to walk next to the teen, his features turning into a watchful look. His blue eyes scanning the area, his left hand flexing at the opportunity to take out anything that might post as a threat. To say the very least, this mother hen was ready to cut anything's head off if needed be.
After a few minutes of silence, something alerted Link's attention before he slashed out his sword to cut a rock into two. The sparks from the blow giving a brief light to the dark forest as Link spins on his heel to whip out his shield and defend against cold steel. Gritting his teeth he pushes the intruder away and lets a few powerful sword strokes towards the person to make them pull back. Sparks fly during the confrontation, cold steel biting into each other until one pulled back. Stepping back to push Zephyr away from the gray, a 'tch' comes from the herder as he steps around the sage to block another blow from something else. Using his shield to push them back it isn't until a third opponent comes in that Link is the one who is being pushed back.
Defending against attack by attack, Link was starting to weaken from the lack of swords practice that he was stating to have trouble taking care of these three. Clashing of steel and thuds could only be heard from the fight as it was practically hard to tell who was hitting who. Aiming a kick at the enemy's gut he watches as it doubles over before something bites into his back drawing a thin line into his back. Gritting his teeth from calling out into pain, he turns around to look at the blood glistening sword bashes his shield into the man's face before letting go a few more slashes from his sword. His back ached and with each passing minute things were getting hard.
He was like an injured wolf being cornered by a pack of hungry animals. He was weak, he had become weak and this is what he got for becoming like this yet he wasn't going to back down. After all a cornered wolf can the most threatening and dangerous at that time.

Zephry turned around when he heard someone run up behind him. His eyes gazed upon the Hero of Hyrule. So, he was going to protect him even when he said he didn't need it. Zephry smiled back at Link. Well, at least it wasn't going to be a lonely walk for the Sage tonight. The moon was full, the sky was full of stars, and a nice, cool breeze was blowing, it was a perfect night for a walk.
Once they began to get deeper into the wood, darkness was slowly appearing. It hid many things from the Sage's eyes. In seconds, Zephry was pushed back as Link began to slice and block something. Sparks fellew and the sounds of men fighting filled the air around the Sage. What was going on? As the cloud that hovered below the moon slowly moved out the way, the light filled the forest. The boy's eyes widen as he saw three soilders fighting Link.
At first, he didn't know what to do. he thought that Link could win but he was losing. The Sage began to get mad as he clentched his fists closed. The wind began to pick up as the plants around them began to grow wildly. "LEAVE HIM ALONE!!!" Zephry yelled. The wind began to blow hard. It was as if they were in the middle of a hurricane. It quickly below toward the soilders as vines from the trees began to whip at the soilders. No one messes with the Forest Sage's friend and gets away from with it.

HEAR HIM ROAR, SEE HIM FOAM, BUT WE'RE NOT COMING HOME TIL HE'S DEAD, GOOD AND DEAD KILL THE BEAST Link looked at the three soldiers with a calculative cold look as he assessed what he could use for this type of situation. Even if he was in a lot of pain, he wasn't going to back down so easily. Zephyr's life was counting on him, because even though he didn't know these men's intentions he could just tell what they were after. They didn't once make any attempts at the teen, and he could tell that their attacks were reserved to not harm the sage. Of course the thought of using Zephyr as a way to kill them men crossed his mind, he quickly flicked it from his mind. As promising as the idea was, he couldn't and wouldn't use Zephyr in any way. Gripping his sword tightly and licking his dry lips he starts to circle around the three so that he could get into a better position then he hears a cry towards Zephyr.
He didn't even realize that the wind was picking up nor that the plants were growing at such an alarming rate. Glancing to see that the soldiers' attention was on the teen, he took that moment to come up with a simple plan of dealing with them. It was a lot more gruesome than he would hope to use, but at this point how cleanly he killed them didn't matter at this moment. Bracing himself as vines whipped out at the soldiers causing them to lose their attention from Link, which was a grave mistake on their part, Link pushes off towards the three to get among them as he smashes his shield into one of their faces. A large crunching sound heard before a cry of pain. Stabbing his sword into another man's foot--let's call him man two--, he knees man three in the groin before keeping him in place with his shield arm and taking his sword into the air before slicing down. The air being sliced by the sheer power of the sword stroke there is only the sound of a thud before ruby red spurts into the air.
Stepping back from the decapitated soldier he focuses his attention on man one to feint another shield bashing to the face before stabbing his sword into the man's gut. Putting a foot on the man to quickly slash his sword out of the man's body to face the last soldier standing. Standing a ready position with blood covering him, he gives out a yell before charging at the last man. Having seen his last two comrades brutally murdered before him, he drops his sword and pisses himself before turning around to scramble out of the woods. Yet Link doesn't let him get far as he takes a big step forwards before he chucks his sword at the man's back. The man drops like a fly as Link slowly walks towards the dead body to take his sword from the dead man's back. He turns around with a grim look on his face to see if Zephyr was alright. Seeing that there wasn't a single scratch on him, he lightens up and gives the teen a small smile.
Turing slightly to indicate further into the forest, he turns back to look at Zephyr with a look that said 'are you sure you want to go further?' A mother hen look crossing his features as he hopes to the goddesses that Zephyr decides against going any further. Link couldn't possibly take care of any more problems. He was tired, his body ached, and he felt kind of light headed actually. Recalling that his back was still oozing some blood from the wound his face turns livid as he looks around at the dead bodies around them. Turning away to make sure Zephyr doesn't see the expression on his face, he attempts to regain his composure. Sliding his blade into the sheath slowly he attempts to put the shield away but it just causes his back to hurt even more. It would be nice if he had thought about taking any potions with him, but nooooo he didn't think he would have this much trouble. That's what he gets for ignoring his tendency to carry EVERYTHING he needs.
Turning back around with a composed look he walks over to Zephyr and gives a reassuring smile. To say that he was okay, and so he put his left hand on the teen's head and ruffled his hair. An expression of 'no worries' on Link's face. That everything is going to turn out just fine.
